This series explores the complex emotions of 2020 through different genres of music, inspired by the 7 stages of grief the world is currently suffering.
Stage 2: Depression
The songs I have chosen fluctuate in style, tempo and expression, both between and within each other, in an attempt to capture how the mental and emotional struggle of resisting and accepting, of loss, anxiety, sadness and successful or failed attempts at escapism would sound - fragmented and fluid, they have been swimming in our minds while battling for centre stage since COVID began.
