L_2NITE - Shadow

a few months ago, i noticed this crate of records that were to my best recollection queued to be reviewed for culling... but i had no memory of when i had put them there, so i needed to give them a fair shake before deciding whether they stay or go, much less what shelf to put them away on if they are keepers!

my approach for this mix was inspired in part by soulwax (play the hardcore records slow for a cherry moon flavor) and by Maria Chavez (don't be afraid to physically exploit the plate, cartridge, table to find the sound you are looking for) and ended up very happy with the results.

this is a theoretical party, a representation of the fact that even the records in my collection that are on the edge of being given away are good records and that in my capable hands even under silly and deeply unserious turntablist conditions i am capable of throwing down and maintaining vibe for hours.
