Patreon Account Hacked

My Patreon Account was hacked with the hacker changing the PayPal payee. The security of Patreon is abysmal, and customer support exceedingly poor. How can a company devoted to monetary transactions with $47 million in funding think that this level of ineptitude is acceptable?
