#139: “A Long Year”

Farewell, 2016, you total shitbag. You murdered our idols and now there are nazi's all over everything. As this show wraps up, the sentiment is not even so much about reviewing the music of the year (although Laura and I do play some good stuff), nor acknowledging the Christmas season (although we briefly manage that too.) No, as we open with Super Furry Animal's reissued classic “The Man Don't Give a Fuck” and end with a cut from Kate Tempest's “Let Them Eat Chaos” — this year's best record — this week's show is substantially the cold-stare middle finger salute that 2016 earned. We got hurt this year, and we're going to come back and do something about it.I’m out in the rain
It’s a cold night in London
And I’m screaming at my loved ones to wake up and love more
I’m pleading with my loved ones to wake up and love more Playlist
