"We meet you here in the darkness." We're delighted to present what may be the world premiere of Kerr Mesner's "Spiralling In." Kerr's layered vocals invite us into the spiral of the winter solstice. This eclectic mix features folk, chant, new age, electronic, industrial, spoken word, even children's music, all seeking what is both sacred and real — or at least a little fun. We'll make it through the longest night to hear the solstice bells ring out on the shortest day. Christmas looms large on the horizon, and this mix tries to resist but ultimately surrenders to the universal spirit of the season. As Jascha Kadis reminds us, "the longest night of winter has been around since night began." Happy solstice, y'all.
