It's the start of the Queen's Birthday long weekend, which, back in my childhood was traditionally spent letting off fireworks and throwing throwdowns at unsuspecting victims (but since the 1980s, that has not happened, due to people losing fingers / eyes / dignity when struck with said fireworks).
I've chosen a bunch of tunes from a bunch of Queen bands / performers (Queen, Queens of the Stone Age, Queensrÿche, Queen Latifah, etc) plus songs about Queens (by PJ Harvey, Sex Pistols, The Smiths, etc) which were sort of chosen randomly and squeezed into a 2 hour radio show par excellence.
"Accidently Curleys Treat".
Friday nights from 10pm to midnite on 2RRR 88.5FM (Sydney),
live via the TuneIn and Beetroot apps.
