Controller.Controller: This song is about the summer of 2003 when the entire Eastern seaboard of North America had a blackout due to a power surge that affected a transmission grid. It is said the power surge was caused by everyone turning on their air conditioners due to a heatwave. It was the second most widespread blackout in history and lasted 4 to 5 days. And it was amazing! You couldn't see your hand in front of your face and in the city you could see stars! Restaurants were giving away free meals due to the fast warming fridges and everywhere people were hanging out on their front lawns amongst hundreds of candles playing guitars. Everybody talked to everybody.
