One question I get from time to time is..."If you and Dave are mixing one night a week, then why aren't there more mixes being uploaded?"
Well, the simple reason is that a lot of the time we are just experimenting. Mucking about and trying different things and challenging each other. Much of the time we find that the tracks tend to clash. Or we will be putting together something that is absolute gold but then after too many drinks one of us will make an unforgivable mistake and that's that. We will stop recording and start something else. Other times we actually work on something with a goal in mind. These are what get uploaded - warts and all.
So here is an example of a more typical night. It is what I refer to as a tug-o-war. A mix where we will simply take turns and mix whatever we like and try to make it cohesive and really challenge our skills as we move from genre to genre and vibe to vibe.
