Over π day weekend of 2020, COVID-19 finally hit critical mass in Philadelphia and nightlife promoters across the city cancelled events left and right in order to prevent the spread of the virus and encourage good social distancing practices.
But... kind of hard to socialize with all that distance, no? And after a tough week in general, LEFT RITE decided to gather over 2 dozen DJs from across the city and broadcast music live for the entire weekend over the internet to give people something fun to do while gathering their final doomsday supplies. And thus, the GrittyCast was born- as multimedia extravaganza of the finest selectors in the city that also raised money for Project Safe in these trying times!
