Wonderful show, thanks. Just a word about the origin of the titles of the tunes in the Sacred Harp. It is common that tunes are named after place names (e.g., China, Russia, Africa, Arkansas), but that often has nothing to do with the tunes other than in the mind of the composer. Perhaps the composer knew someone from there, or read a story about that place, or it just sparked something in the his or her imagination. Not until recent times have people outside the American South had anything to do with this music, so the exotic place names were just that.
Glad to know your singing Sacred Harp in Ireland.
