This is another installation in the "Almost Classic Disco" series. It's "almost classic" because these tracks have been 'nipped and tucked' a bit by me, and I have used modern effects to assist in the overall effect.
This is a shorter mix for me because the track prep takes much longer, especially with the songs I have edited. But this set represents some of the great tracks of this era (IMHO).
There are soaring favorites like "Can We Try Again" by Technique and "I Can Fly" by Rainey that are the soundtrack of a kinder, more gentler era (again, IMHO). Sadly, I don't have original 12" or extended mixes for some of these tracks, so the edits (of a shorter commercial release) are the best I can do to reproduce the effect of the longer mixes that would have been played in the clubs.
I love the music from this era and hope to make more mixes like this soon.
I hope you enjoy this mix as much as I did making it.
