Cinchel kicks off the mix in style with "No Moon on a Cloudy Planet" from the 2022 album Disappear on the fantabulous UK label Waxing Crescent Records.
(04:40) in, and sticking with this label from the 2022 release Crawl it's Danny Scott Lane & Dennis Young with "Blue & Green". Lovely soaring guitar work from two strangers.
(07:49) We get a world vibe in "Faux Savage" by a favorite of mine, Domenique Dumont. This is on ATN044 - DOMENIQUE DUMONT - MINIATURES DE AUTO RHYTHM which was released by Parisian label Antinote back in 2018.
(10:00) Swedish Dungen, or actually Prins Thomas who put this album together using Dungens' sounds. This is "Peri Banu vid sjön (VERSION)" on Häxan (Versions by Prins Thomas) on Oslo label Smalltown Supersound back in 2017.
(14:38) A New age cometh via Fulgeance in "Rium" from 2023 on the album Fulgeance et la Mer from the French label Musique Large.
(17:00) Then we're off to the jungle with Giuliano Sorgini and "Miraggio" recorded back in the mid 70s and released by Italian label Four Flies Records in 2022.
(19:31) Well not the jungle but rather "Dogwood" by Jonathan Sharp, aka, The Heartwood Institute on Hedges. Released in 2022 on, Mix favorite, UK label Woodford Halse.
(22:18) Fresh release from Liverpool act Her Majesty's Coroner for Wirral from Mersey Network. Self released 2023.
(24:58) Another reappearance for Ohio based Imaginary Softwoods in "Fiveless Accretion Pearl (Desk Lamp Mix)" 2020 self release.
(27:16) Former Tangerine Dream and Iggy Pop's drummer Klaus Krüger bless the mix with "For Miles". The album, Advanced Dance, was recorded back in the 80s and released in 2018 on Italian label Early Sounds Recordings.
(31:57) A must have for all listeners of the mix is the album Souvenir by Maston with L'éclair. This is the title track "Souvenir" from 2021. Released on LA label Innovative Leisure.
(33:43) Tokyo based Oh Shu & BIOMAN and "Falconara Marittima" on 2018 album Villa Tereze released on Tokyo label Newhere Music.
(35:36) Recent favorites of the mixes are the amazing Melbourne outfit Surprise Chef this is from a 2022 single, Velodrome b/w Spring's Theme, it's "Spring's Theme" on Brooklyn label Big Crown Records.
(39:23) Leeds based There Is Another System treats us to some lovely retro vibes in "Incident à La Hague" from the 2021 album Le Corps Atomique on Interocitor-Records.
(40:59) Freshly squeezed "Lucidité" by Austrian acid cosmologist Johannes Auvinen aka Tin Man from his latest Arles. Released 2023 on Hamburg legendary label Bureau B.
(46:23) Friend of the mixes Pragues' Binaural Space, here as his alter ego the wonderful Uncle Fido, add that signature quirky vibe in "They Will Come Back" from the 2021 release Tipentap Join Hands.
(48:05) Another absolute recent top favorite of the mixes is Malmö artist Albin Johansson (Albin) on the 2013 release "En Timme Kvar" on the Swedish label(s) Paltunes and Psychic Malmö. This is "Stoppet".
(49:54) The final track is from a wonderful album and artist that I can't get my head around. The album "Selections from the Produce Section" by someone called Burt Orange who compiled the album. There are just 7 tracks on the album but every track has at least two tunes on it. Who the original artists are and what their tracks are actually titled are a mystery but a few of them end up in my mixes. It's on Analog Junkie Studio label out of Lafayette and was released in 2022 for a name your price tag. If anyone knows the mystery of this record please let me know.
