The opening track by ALB is an, old, all time favorite of mine. Such quirky lyrics that are slightly unnerving.
Ivor Cutler is definitely a house guru of mine. I first heard him back in 1990 and his visionary poetry changed me. I even wrote a New Circus show based on his "Life in a Scotch Sitting Room" poems.
Gilroy Mere is quite new to me but I love the world Oliver paints in his work.
Then we're off down the rabbit hole with Eddie Ruschas' brain child Secret Circuit and another brain, that's ruined the bank accounts of many a modular synth enthusiast, Tony Rolando the Make Noise founder.
Then a friend of the show, Monochrome Echo, drifts by with his super soothing synths. Don't miss his trilogy of Moonkeeper albums. Stellar!
Andrew Wasylyk is just wonderful as is Christoph Berg's Field Rotation, both placing sounds perfectly.
Then were picked up by Domenique Dumont. Puts a smile on my face this one. Great album.
Smackos is, of course, one of Danny Wolfers alter egos. Trippy stuff in the realm of, I dare say, The Orb.
Total change up from this high with another recent discovery for me, Finland's finest, Bobby Oroza. Blissful retro soul.
Then an artist I no nothing about, California Storm, brings back the electricity. On the Neotantra label who are unbelievably productive with an album a week often at "name you price" rates.
SiP ends the show with a release from one of the most exciting labels for experimental electronic music presently Not Not Fun Records.
