Back to Basics Vol. 5 (Clean)

Back to Basics Vol. 5 was a transitional mix for me. It was recorded in February, 2009 by putting together a couple part mix I did for Wild94.9fm In San Francisco, hosted by DJ Erock. It was the beginning of the end of mashups being big in the clubs, and house music had become more of a staple in my sets. Since it was recorded for radio, it re-uses some tracks from volume 4, but heads in a different direction pretty quickly.

The Back to Basics mix series is designed to give listeners a taste of what they'd hear if they caught me at prime time in the club. An open format mix utilizing wordplay, toneplay and scratching, to create a cohesive, unique experience.
