Bass music on steroids, explosive inside!
Triggered by a drumstep-ish mixtape of a friend, I started scouring my library and the interwebs for some tunes with a dubsteppy feeling. The result is my first attempt at making a selection of dubstep, drumstep and drum'n'bass, genres I always kinda liked but somehow ignored in my sets because I thought it maybe wouldn't fit so well... Although maybe that's still the same, I enjoyed making this mix with a heavier sound than that of the summervibes of all the moombah-things floating around these days.. (But couldn't resist to include some of that in the second half of the mix.. the -core version)
For anyone interested, I started this mix a week ago, before the anger in the UK cities started, and the British flag is mainly a reference to the dubstep and drum'n'bass movement which has its origin there. However, while listening to the tracks, I felt some of the anger some folks out there must have felt in this music, hence the title.
