Camp Spinoff is a 5 day Summer Camp for aspiring DJs and producers ages 13-17. I have been a counselor there the last 9 years. S.O.S.E. was an activity where campers and staff could share a song that means something to them and say a few words about why.
I recorded their words with my iPhone and made a mix of all the songs and words. The selections and speeches are as diverse and unique as the people who shared them. Music from all different genres, eras, feelings, and themes.
I tried to play all clean edits but a few swears may have slipped through the cracks.
Thank you to everyone who shared with us and allowed me to make Something Outta Something Else.
I have never been more inspired, laughed harder or wanted to be a dad more than the 5 days at Camp Spinoff.
