I used to spin for Painted Puppy along with Rick West. I was born in 1982 so in 1997 I was still only 15 and only visiting my local skating rink in Pinellas Park, FL. The DJ for the skating rink (DJ KB) would also DJ at Liquid City off of Bearss in Tampa. He used to practice his set that he was planning to spin late night at the skating rink. Mix DJ Icey, Huda Hudia along side Africa Bambatta and Stevie B... I had an amazing upbringing in relation to music. Those were amazing times! Appreciate your kind words Tony.
