'al-Nakba al-Mustamirra' stands for the 'ongoing catastrophe' (and particularly its current relentless & terrifying implementation). The mixtape contains grim electronic soundscapes from artists from Lebanon, US, Tunisia, Eritrea, Italy, Palestine, Germany, Egypt, Iran, Syria, Turkey, UK, France, and the Netherlands. The mixtape ends with a track by Noise Diva with an interview from 1970 between the Palestinian writer and PFLP activist Ghassan Kanafani and Richard Carleton, from the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC). In 1972, Ghassan was assassinated by Mossad. Note: An intimate portrait of Yosef Weitz – the architect of the population transfer in conjunction with massive land takeovers and subsequent afforestation organized by the Jewish National Fund (starting in the early 30s as constitutive part of the later Nakba) – is given in a recent documentary entitled «Blue Box» (2021) by his great-granddaughter, the Israeli filmmaker Michal Weits: https://www.norma.co.il/blue-box/.
