That Spinners song is so ridiculously good - probably the best Spinners song I've heard. Hard to believe it never saw the light of day, and it looks like it STILL hasn't been issued on wax? As they once sang, "It's a shame."

Discovering Motown

What amazes me (and yes, you're right, it's amazing), is how often that happens in the course of putting these things together - I've got playlists mapped out for at least the first fifty (!) hours, but I still come across things on random compilations, or album tracks and B-sides I'd previously overlooked, which catch me unawares and which I just HAVE to include because of their obvious awesomeness and their need to be shared with my listeners. Astonishing strength in depth. Which is why I do the show (and the blog) in the first place, I guess.
