I made this mix using vinyl records, two Audio-Technica AT-LP120 turntables, a Numark DXM06 mixer with an Innofader PNP3, and a Roland SP-404 MKII sampler. Multitracking was done using a Tascam DP-006 four-track. Every sound you hear came from a vinyl record.
Some of these tracks have been sped up or mangled beyond immediate recognizability. The most notable example comes at 16:00, where I chop and scratch "The Bizness" instrumental to near-glitch proportions. That percussive strike at 16:17, if you can believe it, is a sample from "I'm Not Playing" by Ultimate Force, transformed by my SP-404 into the pleasant clang of warehouse machinery. There are lots of sonic goodies crammed into this mix. Enjoy!
