A tribute mix to Ninja Tune's Stealth night at the Blue Note club in London. This was recorded for dublab's Empty Dancefloors series in 2013, which focused on legendary club nights that are dearly departed. I never had the opportunity to visit Stealth; but its reputation precedes it. The Stealth club night started in 1995, and lasted 18 months. This was around the time when I first started to get serious about collecting records and DJing. The book "Last Night A DJ Saved My Life" by Bill Brewster and Frank Broughton included a great best of Stealth playlist compiled by Coldcut. I realized I had a number of the same songs & artists from that playlist in my collection; so I figured I'd put my own humble effort towards what I imagine the night was like. As DJ Food put it "Perhaps you may find left behind a soundscape filled with the triphoptimism of a generation which has learnt there may be more to dance music than two decks and a mixer..." I hope you enjoy it!
