This Mixcloud offering runs a bit longer than my recent cloudcasts of late, but Ginny is worth the extra time.
More than three years ago, the woman who shared her life with me passed away in her sleep. My grief has subsided over time, but I still felt an overwhelming need to communicate the longing, reflection, and loss I have felt since Ginny's death, as if something unutterable demanded to be given voice. It would trivialize the whole enterprise to call this cloudcast a "mixtape," as though the complexities and shared experiences of our marriage could be boiled down into a supermarket greeting card. This is my feeble attempt to offer one final and lasting tribute to my wife and her memory - to share with you, the listener, the depth of emotion that I felt for her.
Listening to this may be emotionally difficult for some, but if love was so easy to begin with, would we still consider it just as precious?

Took me 3 sittings to get through this - not that it was hard going, but from your description I wanted to give it the attention it deserves. Music is personal and so I can see why this would not be a fitting tribute to your lovely late wife. It was worth the effort I put into listening and pleased that this testimony to your memories keeps you warm when it seems that the world is cold. It is an unenviable task my friend to search ones soul and pinpoint joy and through a cloud of sorrow. Stay strong and be blessed forever with the love you shared because I believe (and I have no doubts) that it is everlasting in this life and the next - peace always
