[DD02] SPRINGFIELD MADNESS

I'm pretty sure every state has a town called Springfield, but I have yet to find one with more talented weirdo's than the Springfield in Southwest Missouri. This small Midwest college town is a huge breath of fresh air in the strangulated bible belt. I can say that from my own touring adventures and some of the larger cities I've lived in over the years, Springfield is home to some of the most exciting, strange, artistically diverse new bands in the country right now, and I'm glad that it is finally getting recognition as a legit town to pass through, especially between St Louis and Kansas City (overrated). Some of these bands have disbanded or moved away, but it all came out of Springfield at some point over the past few years. Enjoy!
