This time around, after the sad news of Keith McIvor passing there are a few tips of the hat featured here(so expect a slightly less caustic more rhythmic beginning) but do expect…Liquid Liquid’s inspirational Optimo that gave name to the unique club and label, a selection of oddities from said label, a JD Twitch edit, a cover of the Exploited amongst the usual smorgasbord of punky and post-punky shards infused with hardcore effervescence and interspersed with some textured angular scrapes, dubby incisions and atonal noise. A multinational melange of all kinda sounds, mostly new-ish, others more matured, stitched together and coming apart at the seams inc. There was also a band earlier in the set. Sounded like Rubella Ballet . It was good.
I will get around to writing out a playlist shortly. Going through the record pile I think the most likely band you are referring to here is Alternative. A Scottish band! From Dunfermline, they did a 7" on Crass records and a LP on Corpus Christi. There's a track on here called Where Are Your Horoshimas from the album which is charmingly entitled If They Treat You Like Shit, Act Like Manure. Original LP was notoriously difficult to get and for many years unavavilable except for silly money on discogs/ebay etc. Got repressed a couple of years ago so should be more easily available.

Get the Fatamorgana reference. It's from a 12" by Benedikt Frey called Lost Control. It's the first and only thing the vocallist, whose name escapes me now, had done. It's a couple of years old but should still be available. When I upload my next dubby/reggae set you'll hear another version!

Going by the timestamp this is Portland band Dead Cult with a track Ghosts Still Dance. It is from a 7" which was part of a mail order 7" subscription series on All The Madmen more than ten years ago so I would reckon it's only available on the likes of Discogs. They did an album as well called Fall.
