As long as I can remember, I have always liked breaks. I remember playing with FL based cats like DJ Icey, Huda, Baby Ann, and others from the Kaleidoscope crew back in the early 2000's. As I would stand there watching them spinin' their box of wax, I remember thinking, this music absolutely frwakin' rocks! It just makes me want to move! Local Nashville talent like DJ Flye and Daddy Bob brought it as well every weekend, every single time. What a great time for music and pushing the boundaries of the 4-4. I have always had the thought that someday, when I grew up, I would throw down a breaks mix and publish it for the world to hear. Not just throw in a 2-4 track in a trance set but a full blown, funky, booty movin, breaks mix. Well here ya go 2021! You were the year that my personal history has been made. I can rest easy now.
