Alpha State

This mix has been brewing for a long time. Its definitely not what you would hear me playing in a club, although at stages I feel it just kinda crosses over into that type of material. This is more an ensemble of music that I like to listen to, that seems to just take me places. Hence the name Alpha state referring to a higher open state of mind where you are at peace and connected to everything around you.

A couple of the tracks are not current, but I have always maintained that good music transcends time and doesn't really age, so I always try and keep true to a mix telling a beautiful complex story.

The mix was put together on a MacBook Pro running Ableton Live 9.5 using an Allen & Heath Xone K2 controller referenced with a couple pairs of headphones (Allen & Heath Xone XD2-53, Sennheiser HD25, Apple Ear Pods) and my Monkey Banana Turbo6's. Not 100% happy with the mp3 encoding but quite chuffed with how the wav master came out. Timestamping is marked when the mix starts.
