Last Friday's one-take Random Pull is bookended by the amazing Doug Carn, and the cracking album on Black Jazz. Slightly inebriated this week, so a jump here, average mix there, but hey, the tunes are still banging.
What's in here then ? Aside to the modal niceness of Mr Carn and his missus Jean, we wander through an eclectic blend of Eddie Russ, Dave Angel, Public Enemy with Pete Rock on the rerub, a most excellent Robin Jones Afro workout, a bit of classic Colosseum, Greyboy's LA jazzy trip hop niceness amongst other gems.
