BIO:
Responsible for the influential party series “Tempo”, which helped revitalize Toronto’s underground techno scene, Matic has been focusing his energies in the studio crafting and weaving analogue sound waves into dubby techno. Most recently matic has released under the moniker (co)sine with studio partner and Toronto techno icon Matt Thibideau on Thibideau’s own Obsolete Components record label.
On the decks, matic fuses perlon inspired minimal house with deep and driving techno, focusing on long mixes with a hint of technical showmanship; creating a unique playful style that incorporates esoteric micro grooves with dance floor driving rhythms.
Although event promotion has taken a back seat to studio work, matic is a player in the basec collective, who throw techno events within Toronto. Additionally, matic is scheduled to release new music on Obsolete Components under a currently unnamed studio collaboration with Eric Miles.
