In 2000, I was commuting with sonicvince, who only liked alternative guitar music (Nirvana, Sonic Youth, Biohazard, that kind of stuff) and had been teasing me for years for listening to electronic music and buying vinyl.
One day, I drove and it was not his car. I played a tape, and it dawned on him that electronic music was not all repetitive 4/4 dross. I made him this tape, in a bid to broaden his horizons. Fast forward a few months, he is buying vinyl and attending electro parties.
Earlier this year, when he discovered I was uploading my old tapes and still had a tape deck, he brought his cassettes, so I could digitise them for him. This is the first one.
