#077 - Day Into Infinity

An unusual layer of torment has been laid upon the already miserable Alentejo weather in the form of suffocating humidity. That magnifying lens that serves to make a sweltering heat that much more insufferable has ensured the doors and windows remain shut to the outdoor world. It seems that, like with most things, I just can't win. Furthermore, I can't escape this funk. Am I supposed to have seasonal depression all year long? I think there's probably a name for that.

Either way, I'm watching my summer slip away from the confines of home because it is untenable to spend time outdoors. I guess this fear is being compounded by a tight schedule of travel dominating my calendar - much of which will require extended time outdoors, yet, mercifully, takes me out of this sweltering cage to cooler climates: the coastal south, mountainous France, north to the gentle respite of Portugal's cooler border. This kicks off in just a couple days now when I head down to Loulé in the Algarve for a world music festival. I'll be back for my next show, but I can't say I'll have such luxury in the future. It's stressing me out.

So I've decided to send all of my summer shows direct to the archive and forego the live show - news that will impact maybe three people total, but I regret to shake things up. So until further notice, no live shows - but new episodes will continue to appear on the night of the shifting moons at the usual time. Hope that works for everyone.
