Chop It Up - compiled by Across The Kitchen Table

Most of the time when I'm cooking during the week it is to the sound of Eddie Mair and the commentary on the shit that is going down in the world, so not a lot of joy there. But come Saturday night and returning from the football the cooking of the evening meal is soundtracked to the funk and soul lovingly hand picked by Craig Charles and depending on how the game has gone it is either a joyous occasion due to the fact that we have won or something to lift the spirits after a defeat. I don't think that I have heard any of these on 6Music but I decided to go with a track listing of edits which like my food are re-inventions of classics, well apart from the Tweet track but I do love that one and the Kate Bush re-edit shouldn't really work but for me it does. However, unlike some of my efforts these are all wonderful.
