Our Meal: Eucharist

Matthew 26:26-29 "Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said..."
To be Christian is to eat. Part of what Christ has left as a symbol of both his death, and his coming back, was the wine and the bread. At Common Ground we do this weekly because we believe in the power of the Eucharist. That word itself simply means "thanksgiving" but there is so much more wrapped up in this expression every week. How do you come to the table? What is going through your mind right before you come up? How does the Eucharist alter the rest of your week? Who else is eating? What does it all mean? Am I missing something? Join us as we do our best to explain the most critical point in our weekly liturgy.
