Me presenting my first FM pirate radio show on LWR 92.5 FM in London on the 14th June 1986 from 1am to 4am. This went out live with me DJ-ing from a converted flat in Brockley, South East London (Secret location as the DTI were not that pleased with us!).
LWR was one of the biggest FM pirates of the 80s with a really powerful transmitter it could be heard throughout the whole of greater London and out into the home counties. Tony Blackburn was on BBC Radio London at the time with his soul show and he would always ask live on-air callers "whats your favourite radio station?" expecting them to say "radio London" but so many times they would say "LWR" he was told to stop asking the question as it all got a little embarrassing that us pirates were really giving young Londoners what they really wanted.
