Choice Threads - Shack

Critically lauded but bereft of commercial success (not the first time we've said that about someone featured on the show), Liverpudlian Mick Head started in the 80s with the Pale Fountains, and went on to make great records with Shack. Now recording with hometown collective the Red Elastic Band, his consistently intricate and subtle instrumentation combined with beautiful lyrics make him a favourite songwriter of those fortunate enough to stumble across his work.
