Lead By Example

ACTS 6:1-8 - Leadership! “Leadership is one of the most challenging tasks that we take on during our life.” (Barna)

Leadership is a critical component in the work place, and also in the ministry of the church. In our society leaders tend to talk a lot and never follow up with actions. We need people who lead and we need people who follow. Often in the church we find that everyone wants to be a leader and no one wants to follow.

However, as a leaderwe must lead by example not because of a position, but because of the possession we have. The possession we have is a relationship with Christ. This morning as we select 5 new deacons we can learn what it means to lead by example from the book of Acts. Specifically we will see how Stephen led by example.
