NEHEMIAH 9:38 and 10:28-29 - So far we have seen the walls rebuilt in Jerusalem, and now how God is rebuilding the people. God rebuilds His people through His Word. Ezra read the Books of the Law for hours, and then the people responded. They responded through confession and worship. Their worship was extended beyond mere words and was expressed in action. The Israelites have rehearsed God’s goodness, their sin, and God’s mercy, and now they are prepare to make a covenant to keep the covenant. In our text this morning we will see the Israelites meant what they prayed.
