For most people, brokenness is where their dreams go to die.
Brokenness makes us feel like we'll never be useful again. Never be beautiful again.

Kintsugi, or golden joinery. It's the art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer that's mixed with powdered gold. A broken pot is skillfully restored, but the veins of every crack are now filled with gold. Where most restoration processes would try to hide those flaws, kintsugi treats the break and repair as part of the history of the object. It always ends up being more beautiful than the original piece.

See your cracks, not as something you have to hide, or something that can't be overcome, but as God writing a beautiful story. May the fault lines of your life be mended together with his golden touch.
