At least twice in my life this chapter was pivotal. As a University student I was well on my way toward a life in law and politics. From the time I was in the sixth grade I had wanted to be President of the United States with yearly markers for my journey. I was Student Body President of my Junior High, Senior High, and University. I was chairman of the College Republicans of Oregon and did my internship in the Oregon Legislature and had a volunteer job driving the Secretary of State around Oregon. I was a Christian but had little consideration for what God might expect from me.
