Chains keep us in check. They also oppress and deflect many. Culture likes to perpetuate this idea, through many forms. In relationships, expectations are strictly defined of each participant. There are ways to behave and things to do. Deviating from the norm is almost taboo. To sit here and say Chains are purely negative or regulating would be leading you astray.
Chains hold us down, preventing us from floating away. We impose them ourselves through the connections and actions we make. They bind us together. We as a species need others to survive. Living lives of disconnect spells doom for the future. Just like a coin, there are two sides to every Chain.
