This months feature was Rob Mullenders ExVoto series, in his own words....

"Ex Voto is part of a series of works produced in response to the Brunel Tunnel Shaft, as part of the Leverhulme Artist in Residence programme. You are listening to contact microphones and monitors amplifying 6 metres of nickel-chromium wire, heated until it glows orange, and left to react to the noisy, clipped 240v single being fed through it. Heating a cooling, differences in tension, air temperature and the complexities of a vibrating string create a constantly shifting and complex drone, softened and shaped by the church-like acoustics of one of London’s hidden architectural marvels."

Thanks again Rob, fantastically haunting.
