In episode 2 of Artists' Favorite Artists, we focus on one of the greatest rock drummers of all time, Led Zeppelin's John Bonham! Like many drummers from his era, he idolized jazz legends, Gene Krupa and Buddy Rich, studied jazz innovators like Joe Morello and Max Roach, loved his fellow rock drumming comrades Carmine Appice and Ginger Baker, found funk inspiration with groove masters Alphonse Mouzon and Bernard "Pretty" Purdie, and even had a soft spot for pop supergroup ABBA and singer-songwriter Cat Stevens (Yusuf Islam).
