Back in the early 2000s I was member of some mailing lists like Crates or WaxAddicts. Main subject here was sampling (it was before whosampled.com), and soon I asked some of these people to contribute mixes to Soul <-> HipHop aka All Samples Cleared!? and / or the BTTB-X-Series. Here is one of these, mixed by Motown67. Back then he lived in Berkeley, CA, and he used to write about music in these mailing lists and on Soulstrut. Unfortunately I lost contact.
