I was always a fan of early Chicago House, HipHouse, Acid and when we started the club night HipHouseHooray at Hafenklang in Hamburg back in 2002, I recorded a show for the series Soul <-> HipHop based on some HipHouse and Acid tunes. Enjoy this.

About Soul <-> HipHop aka All Samples Cleared!?
In August 2000 I started a series dedicated to Sampling. This was long before whosampled.com made it easy to find musical references - my source were liner notes on record sleeves, my ear and my record collection.

In 2009 I relaunched this series under a new name: Soul <-> HipHop became All Samples Cleared!?
