Thanks for the wav download Bruce, it's much appreciated. Incidentally your 'Naughty Boy Mix/Better Days Classics Mix' is one of the best mixes I've heard in years - the way you've put together the first 6 tracks is genius!
Thanks Gareth, very kind of you. B)
Thanks Bruce . Yep I successfully uploaded continuous mix in both Sound& mix cloud. Started with a bit of spoken word house.. and has lots of.m vocals but spaced out so will see what if the tag it . On mix loud I have an instrumental mix . Iam surprised that mixcloud has the lower file size limit (500 mb) and only takes MP3. Thx & Take care
Thanks very much for any help
Hey Yago...
Yeah Soundcloud is very picky about copyright. The best way to get around it is only upload one continuous mix, and start it with something REALLY obscure, or sound effects. I have my New Year's mix up there, but the first ten minutes is I track I did myself, so they let it slide I guess.

Hi Bruce - any chance of a WAV download for this one?
many thanks!
Sorry Gareth didn't see this. Sure here's a wav ----> https://goo.gl/CX97g8
Thanks! /b
Thank you so much for this detailed response Bruce. I knew my ears werent deceived that track list was "incomplete ".
Even though Iam quite familiar with a life excessively ,though thankfully , consumed and obsessed with collecting, and expressing music through its endless technology mediums , your information helps me learn how layered and involved your skills and expertise are.
I can stop fidgeting trying to find those certain mixes or tracks now, knowing that they are created by you with other tools. But in addition to the endless music collecting , Getting and learning things such as ableton seem daunting . I don't think I can ever do without my real turntables and vynl so Traktor is a bit off putting , but envious of those drums you are doing with ableton and "tracktor remix deck loops ". Can you do something like that with Rekordbox? And how does one even begin to find and then play a drum or effect live from ableton along with vynl/CDJS ? I assume my laptop would have to connect to mixer in addition to my CDJS?
Thanks again Bruce for your time
Hey Bruce...at 12:20 and later at 20:00 in the mix these are your additions of drums correct? Is there any other edits or additions that arejoining tracks 2, 3, and 4? thanks so much!
At 6:50 in Adeva, all the drums are Abelton, along with the percussion, which are Traktor Remix Deck loops till the end of the song, where Adeva fades into echo at 11:47. Then it's Abelton drums doing the flanged rise, and Loose Ends comes in. All the perc till 14:05 is Remix Deck loops. Yes, the drums at 20:00 are also Remix Deck stuff with a ton of effects. The real Soul II Soul drums don't come in till 21:47, and there are still Abelton toms below. More Remix Deck stuff until the echo out. Tom's Diner drums are Abelton as well at the front, (26:35) then I eventually mix into the DNA remix drums of the track.
Next Abelton at 51:51 under Cerrone, a loop I use a LOT. Hangs around till 1:08 where it's soloed for a second into Transformation. Then it's all Remix Decks into Running.
Just some advice...all these effects and additional production elements are my "toolbelt." I never plan anything, and every overlay/overdub is spontaneous. There are no edits in the set. The trick is to get very comfortable with Remix Decks, Stems and Abelton, then add goodies as you think of them while the track is running. Not many people know how complex some of my sets are, (and I am VERY flattered by your interest) but it's all in aid of my overarching philosophy of DJing - "fuck with their heads, never let them know what's coming, leave them thinking..." //b
Thank you very much for your detailed answer Bruce. It really helps someone like me , who even though has met many of my dj stars for a minute or 2 after their sets, never hav had a chance or access to ask and learn about the fundamentals of the craft, aside of reading books about " the days" and self taught mixing . So I take much from what you say.
Preferring intimate musical experiences especially now being "an old 40 year old ", club outings are fewer and fewer in between if ever. And with my own set up now there isnt as much reason to listen to others instead of practice my own.
I have an entry level focusrite, and ableton going into MacBook from my Bozak. CDJs & technics & dinker Kaoss pad. So I might be doing something right:) I have never used tracktor so no idea how it works let alone most tech beyond a few cables , sliders & knobs. So I appreciate the knowledge .
When you say " no cue" does that mean it just matches tempo and never ever goes out of synch? Even with live instruments? Because I noticed CDJ synch doesn't read live stuff well and have not tried long enough to see if it stays in synch through out a full song.
I also have always recorded on the fly with a few record in mind maybe beforehand , but mostly the musical path takes a life of its own and the playing record makes birth to the next one and although often there are blips & imperfections ( which still annoy the crap out of me) the organic flow & present magic (when it's there) is what make this a lifetime calling though not professionally.
About the tracks: I thought I heard Beautiful love Adeva but then I thought no way it had those drums ! Have to dig up my 7" but have a hunch you did some live effects or edits??
One last thing: can I send you a mix of mine via Dropbox or email . I would most appreciate you listening to it.
Thanks
Yago
Hey Bruce, Listened to first 40 minutes so far and its incredible. Your taste and endless collection is special.
Can you please send me playlist? Again I am having trouble accessing the icon. I will be searching out pretty much all those selections. Loved the 2nd and 3rd tracks. People don't mix enough of those down mid tempo lovelies .
After all this time what mixer do you mix on ( I am a proud new owner of The bozak AR-6) and do you still mix with vinyl on these uploaded mixes?
Iam very curious if the Legends like your self still bother to mix on vinyl, cds for public mixes and not use such things as Temp sync and other beatmaching assists to save time and for other reasons.
And on this mix for instance did you pre select tracks and order of? did you do this in one shot. Loved what you blended with the Soul II Soul track. So nice!
thanks
Yago

At home, I use Traktor and Ableton, no cue, everything on computer. Live I run a 5k 27” iMac, taking Thunderbolt out of the Mac into a Focusrite Clarett Audio Interface to a Urei. Lets me bypass the meh sound card in the Traktor S4, and I do most commands with trackpads. I only use the jogwheels of the S4. I also play vinyl when I have the opportunity - not a CDJ fan since they won’t play high bitrate wav files, and I’d rather use Traktor for more control.
Pre-select? Heh no, this was actually just me playing around about two years ago and forgot that I hit record. I do Mixcloud sets usually in one two hour shot, nothing preplanned though there are always a few tracks I want to get in the set. I’m nowhere near that disciplined and organized. B) I’m the same live…I don;t know what I’ll play until 30 seconds before I play it.
Thanks so much for the kind words!
listening in my garden right now.....
Stunning!! lovely thanks B!
