Behold, or a variation of this word, appears approximately 1,500 times in the Old Testament and around 200 times in the New Testament. It's heard in many songs, other quotes, and reasoning.
To behold is to look and see what The Most High has done in the past and is doing in the present. Just as there is a physical world, there is also a spiritual world. Jah is continually working in both of them! Beholding God’s ongoing works are an important aspect of the Rastafari way of life.
