This is a recording of the set I played at the Winter Magic festival (Winter Solstice, 2013) in Katoomba, Australia. It starts off pretty funky, with a distinct swing/big-band vibe and epic basslines which then begins to move into harder, faster, more psychedelic territory. The set featured some Australian produced tracks, quite a few newly released tunes and some of my favourites which I have had and played at gigs for years.
It was an incredibly fun set, played on the 'Recycled Sound System' set up by Daniel Murray. By the time I took to the decks we had relocated the system to a alley way mid way down Katoomba street, which soon filled up with people all dancing away to the music. It definately left an impression, I'll think of this gig every time I see that alley in Katoomba now.
