Cocks and Daggers

In the second episode of my podcast I proudly announce launch of my official portfolio site at www.wojciechhupert.com. My website showcases examples of commercial work which enables me to travel to the most remote places I never thought I would visit. I also discuss issues of devastating influence of tourism on the identity of local communities. Bali is going trough cancer-like metamorphosis and there is no chemotherapy available to fix it. I talk about controversial issue of welfare of poultry in Indonesia, where cock fights are legal and very frequent. For the second time in such short amount of time I participated in the cock fight. Extremely cruel activity which for some reasons is categorised as ‘sport’. My recent visit in the fighting arena forced me to rethink and reevaluate reality of human nature thus cruel tendencies toward animals of all kinds. We do live in the lie where double standards are allowing us to accept some acts but not the other. Bali remains magical.
