My last birthday was unlike any other.
Turning this age carried a ghost with it: it’s the same age my father was when his life was cut short and the same age of my mother when she lost "the love of her life".

For years, that number felt like a menace, a shadow, ominous and loaded... Now that I’ve reached it, I feel the opposite, I feel alive, strong, loved, and full of energy to continue with my projects.

In this way, I honor the joy and life of my father by living my own life longer, deeper and brighter.
