40 tracks from a range of indie, rock & alternative sounds.
Following on from some sporadic mixes in previous years (eg; Eastbob & Down & Cold Rock Stuff), this is the first of a new set of mixes; 'alternatively'.
These mostly guitar-heavy selections come from me reminiscing about my first residency at an alternative student night in the 90s, to my subsequent decade-long residency at an unsigned bands night at Moles Club, Bath (under the alias DJ Skrubba), to my many years taking in the soundtrack of record shops I worked at (inc, Rough Trade, Fopp & HMV Oxford St), to some sounds that have grabbed me on the radio recently.
Some heavy, some chilled, some ravey & some soulful. All-time classics, to present day heavy hitters, to more obscure bits inbetween, I delve into a different set of crates than I would ordinarily; music I rarely find the opportunity to play nowadays.
But sometimes it's nice to explore some alternatives...
