Bridge Street Bash

Saturday in roughly the year 2001 & my parents were going away overnight somewhere which was very rare, so we knew we were in for a top night.
We took a train to Blackpool to buy some new vinyl from Melody House. What a place that was, awesome tunes, vinyl everywhere, all protected from the incoming leaks from the ceiling with plastic sheeting :) For us, that was THE place to go to get Wigan Pier, Maximes, Monroes style anthems.
Once we’d got our new tunes we head for a McD’s and back to Darwen picking up beers and such for one of the best nights of our teenage lives.
The night is underway, tunes are blasting out and someone shouts those magical words… “let’s make a tape!”
These are some of the tunes that were played that night, a mix of bounce, Italian & hard house. Someone may still have the original tape, I’d love to get my hands on it for another listen.
